What I’m doing…
Walking the Blade is a series written as a method of letting off stress and steam from day-to-day life. My friend, Dawn and I, have been writing this story about two mismatched characters and all of the characters that orbit around them for over a decade. The characters are full of life and personality and some people in our lives recommended that we do more with them than just use them on a hobby board. So, I’m trying that. I’ve edited and reached out for help from the Writing Community to bring the first novel in this series to the point of publication. I look forward to a 2022 release date!
Though the novelization will be based in modern times, but the history of these characters is vast and we’ve been recently playing with those “prequel” stories in our spare time. The world we’ve made features mythical beings who are surviving in disguise within our world. There are Lycan of many varieties, Elementals, Doppelgangers, Demons, Elves, and even Dragons represented. Creating the cultures of these beings and the Council of Crimson as the lawmaking and prosecuting entity that works hand-in-hand with the enforcement entity known only as Crimson has been a lot of fun. We hope to lend a voice to not only all of our characters, but also the various relationships that they have… for such things are often repressed in reality.
As soon as the actual novels are published and available, I’ll be letting you know here first!
In the meantime, if you are so inclined, I will be publishing our prequel portions on Medium in order to garner a wider audience and possibly help pay for the time and energy I’ve put into this passion project. The link will be provided once that is set up appropriately.
Sharing this website and subscribing to it via email and/or on other social media helps spread the word about any upcoming releases and therefore makes it more likely that we can become successful in the long run. So please don’t be shy about liking posts, sharing, and subscribing. All posts may not wind up being published to novels, but we had fun writing these characters and hope you enjoy reading about them!
